The Canadian supply chain software firm Descartes Systems Group is continuing its run of acquisitions, announcing today that it has paid $120 million to buy California-based Extensiv, a provider of warehouse management and fulfillment solutions for third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and the brands they serve. According to Ontario-based Descartes, the move adds to its warehouse and inventory management capabilities while deepening its reach into the 3PL and ecommerce fulfillment market.
